Network Fault

Yesterday (10 may), there was a problem with circa 20 VoIP telephones at Caius that lost connectivity to the network and as a result the ability to make and receive calls.  The incident occurred as a result of human error during daily maintenance / minor configuration changes being carried out between 11am and 2pm although the symptoms may not have been apparent until sometime after this.  Following contact with the Caius Computer Office (who reported the problem to us at circa 4.30pm) the cause was diagnosed, corrected and tested to be working by 6pm yesterday.
